Fraudulent Fines. Careful you don't get caught! Below is the site claiming to be GORDON RD EAST TUS/BTW BERGBRON LN/DR & LANGE LN/AVE (travelling east - towards Newlands) which in fact shows the vehicle travelling west, towards the N1 freeway. You can click on the image for an enlarged view.
The JMPD have publically committed to submit an "internal representation" to withdraw all of these fines (and those in the other direction) and refund motorists who have already paid them, after publicly acknowledging that they were in fact "illegal". What they have not said is when. Don't hold your breath! Below is an issue we raised nearly a year ago. The saga continues! Unfortunatley, the JMPD has decided that it is a-okay to issue fraudulent fines to motorists. If you have received an AARTO infringement or notification, issued for speeding on the N1 South near Diepkloof interchange (Construction Zone) and the Armco barrier appears on the left of the picture, between the camera and your car, it is fraudulent because you were in fact on the N12E. They will look like these:
